Oldsmobile Limited. When you need a car the size of a locomotive.
With a 505CI, 60 horsepower engine, I’m not sure what the torque output would be, but I’m sure you could pull a house down with one. Later engines had over 700 cubic inches, but the same horsepower. The wheels are 42"

This thing is cool. I wonder if back then the assumption was that a passenger car should be about the same size of a train cuz why not?

It makes sense to have large wheels and a huge wheelbase if you’re going to go cross country over unpaved roads - but I think the other part of it was that this was Oldsmobile’s flagship model, and making it big just made it look impressive.
